March Leadership Message from Amy Hurst, CPM®

March 3, 2020
Written by: Amy Hurst, CPM®
Every year March is designated Women’s History Month by Presidential proclamation. The month is set aside to honor women’s contributions in American history.  The 2020 Women’s History Month theme is “Valiant Women of the Vote.”  The theme honors "the brave women who fought to win suffrage rights for women, and for the women who continue to fight for the voting rights of others." Women's History onth in March is an ideal time to celebrate the brave, bold, and fearless women who have influenced history.

The important role women have played in shaping the world can often be overlooked.  By participating and supporting CREW Austin and CREW Network, you are playing an important role as well.  You are positively impacting the trajectory of our future as we promote and provide opportunity for women to lead around the globe.

Speaking of celebrating women, you will not want to miss our March luncheon where we will celebrate the achievements of two CREW Austin members!

If you missed the fantastic CREW Austin/CCIM joint RE Summit in February, Red News RE Journals has invited
CREW Austin members to attend their summit on March 12th at a discounted rate.  Use code: CREW for 20% off registration.  CREW Austin member, DeLea Becker, is one of the panelists. For further information, please visit Red News by visiting this link

Do not forget to “spring” forward on March 8th for Daylight Savings Time.  March is also a great time to do a little “spring” cleaning.  The Community Outreach Committee will be collecting gently worn professional attire benefitting Dress For Success as well as new and gently used handbags for the Handbags for Hope campaign benefitting the Texas Advocacy Project.  See the CREW Austin website for a donor guide and more information.

Time Marches on………
