As any of you know who have lived through a summer in Austin, Texas, the days are warming up but so are the opportunities with CREW Austin.  We have a lot of great events coming up but before I get to that I want to take the opportunity to thank the Elena Cutshall and Stacy Reed for putting on the 2019 Downtown Austin Architecture Tour on April 25th.  Thanks to all who worked on this great event that highlights the amazing real estate projects in central Austin.  Thank you also to AIA Austin for collaborating with CREW Austin for the second year.  Pictures from the event can be found here:
CREW Austin’s Community Outreach Committee the Mother and Me Tea at the Barr Mansion on May 5th benefiting the St. Louise House.  We will be hosting a fall fundraiser to benefit SLH – be on the lookout for more information on this event.  Contact Amanda Aaron if you are interested in participating in the Community Service Committee.
CREW Austin’s next luncheon will be on May 21st at the University of Texas Club. The program, sponsored by Austin Title, will focus on the Army Future Command Center.  Several cities across the country competed for the command center and it was quite a coup that Austin was recognized as the best location.  I’m looking forward to learning more about the work of the center.   Registration is open at
At the luncheon, the Community Outreach Committee of CREW Austin will be accepting gently used professional attire for the dress for success program. You can drop off your donations at each entrance of the parking garage of the UT Club. Great time to for a spring cleaning of your closet for an important cause.  More information can be found at
Anyone attend ICSC RECon 2019 in Las Vegas on May 19-22?  If you are, be sure to look up the CREW Network events happening at the convention.  In addition to the events listed on the link below, CREW Network exclusively provides dedicated space for CREW members to conduct business at the convention. More information about the space and other CREW Network events can be found out at
If you are interested in growing with CREW Austin and becoming a leader at the committee level and/or at the board letter, please join us after the June 18th Luncheon at the U.T. Club for a short information meeting about the leadership opportunities with CREW Austin.
And last but not least, we will be offering scholarships for members to attend CREW Network Convention & Place in Orlando, Florida September 25-27, 2019.  You will receive an email with more information on the scholarship and deadlines soon!
Hope to see you all at the May 21st luncheon.
