Located adjacent to Ascension Seton Medical Center campus in midtown Austin, the new Ascension Seton Health Center Lamar consists of a 291-car garage and a 107,000 SF multi-tenant commercial core and shell building. The associated site improvements include walkways, landscaping, vehicular access, storm drainage, and utilities within the block defined on the site plans. The design responds to opportunities for a new public image while being sensitive to the adjoining neighborhood and park. The project was contracted as CM at Risk.
Stantec provided full design services for Johnson Healthcare Real Estate including Architecture, Programming, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Surveying, required Traffic Studies, Site and Building Permit documentation requirements, and Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering. Tenant Improvement Design to accommodate a variety of Ascension Seton Healthcare clinics and a full imaging suite and woman’s center was also provided for three of the four floors as part of a separate project. Construction began in January 2020 and was completed in March 2022.
- Project is Community-facing and is designed to serve as a ‘front door’ for the Ascension Seton Medical Center.
- Building is four stories on an urban site, to contain specialty care for critical outpatient and diagnostic services for the Ascension Seton System.
- Emphasis on Health and Wellness, large interior courtyard amenity, and fourth-floor patio/observation area for staff respite and therapy.
