CREW Austin is pleased to highlight Member of the Month: Nicole Ramirez

Nicole Ramirez, Commercial Outside Sales Representative, Arizona Tile

Nicole has previously worked for Bisley as a contract furniture representative based out of London. Prior to that, she worked at a furniture dealership and before that was a lighting representative. She has extensive experience in sales related to interior design selections. Nicole lives her cat Sheena, who is now 17 years old but still looks like a kitty. Her favorite quote is “No one is you, and that is your superpower.”

We asked Nicole the following questions, and she graciously replied so that we can all get to know her better:

1. What do you want to do when you grow up?
I want to own several rental properties and design them all with a unique cozy atmosphere, a place that you want to go back to and is Instagrammable- I would ideally love these to be river houses or somewhere near water.

2. What is one professional accomplishment that you are most proud of?
I am so happy and blessed to be in an industry that I love. Graduating from Interior Design at the height of the recession in 2009, a lot of my school friends didn’t make it into the field. I never thought I would be a rep but it has been very rewarding and a surprise achievement. I tell people all the time that design programs don’t educate enough about the vast variety of jobs on the rep side. It’s been very rewarding to be able to work on all types of projects with the best designers in town.

3. What could be described as your “Five Minutes of Fame?"
I was born 3 months early only having a 30% chance of living, and weighed 1 lb 13 oz. I fought through to live and therefore the hospital put me on the Seton hospital Premature/Neonatal maternity care brochure. So I like to call myself a “Cover baby”, that was my modeling moment!

4. Where is one place you would love to travel to?
Eastern Europe for all of the Christmas Markets this time of year.

5. What are your hobbies?
Yoga, spin at Love Cycling studio, watersports, running town lake, cooking meals I find on pinterest, bike rides, frequenting farmers market for yummy food finds and great atmosphere, camping and going on my stand up paddle board as often as possible when it is nice out!

6. If money and time were no object, how would you spend your days?
Cross country RVing- traveling to all national parks and nature focused destinations all over the world to hike and explore with my bike.
