“Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved.” - Winnie the Pooh
After a wonderfully chaotic year, I will be stepping down as the CREW Austin President on December 31st. I have enjoyed my tenure as President, and I have been honored to represent the members of this extraordinary organization. I am proud of what we have accomplished this past year including adding 50+ new members, adapting to new technology that allowed us to stay connected and staying true to our mission in advancing women within commercial real estate. This has been a year of intensity. Intense is the only word that describes it adequately. The year of 2020 often seemed to be a long endurance race that has no finish line.
I want to thank the Board and membership for selecting me to serve as President for 2020. It is always with a bit of sadness that one has to say goodbye to a position and the people who made that possible. This is an amazing organization with such intelligent wonderful members and the experience to have served as your President will be one of the most rewarding endeavors I have been given the opportunity to undertake. It truly was one of the highlights of my professional career.
CREW Austin is a well-respected and highly regarded association, and it has been such an honor just to be a part of a leadership team that continues to strive to be on the cutting edge of the profession.
I have been fortunate to have worked closely with such quality Board and Committee members and appreciate all they have done during my term. I look forward to continuing to support the CREW Austin leadership, and in particularly our incoming President Elena Cutshall as she continues to chart the association’s future path.
Again, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve, I walk away with memories and friendships that I will forever cherish.
The 2020 “Pandemic” President
